If you've heard of Sega, you've heard of Sonic the Hedgehog. From his debut on the 16-bit Genesis system to his latest 3D incarnation in Sonic Adventure 2, old blue has set the pace for fast-action gaming. Soon, Sonic will speed his way to the small screen in Sonic Advance for the Game Boy Advance system. The game is in development now and the game's features aren't locked down yet, but here's a little taste of the supersonic goodness to come. Sonic Advance marks the hedgehog's return to the 2D realm, with graphics and gameplay reminiscent of the original Sonic the Hedgehog games. Dr. Eggman is at it again, with a brand new scheme to trip up Sonic and his pals. This time you'll play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy as you collect Chaos Emeralds and thwart Eggman's nefarious machines. You'll need all the help you can get, because this all-new quest gets more challenging by the minute with tons of new puzzles and traps. Evade the obstacles and enemies, unlock secret areas, and uncover the hidden Chaos Emeralds to transform into Super Sonic for the final battle against Dr. Eggman!

At long last, Sega's hasty hedgehog is tearing it up on a Nintendo system. Developed by Sonic Team but published by THQ, Sonic Advance delivers all of the high-speed action which has made Sonic a world-wide success.

Sonic has always been known for speed, and his adventure on Game Boy Advance is quicker than ever. The spunky hedgehog rolls, jumps and flies through the game at break-neck speed. With an insane selection of locomotive devices such as spring boards, bumpers and zip-cords, every level presents new challenges.

For Sonic fans, it will come as no surprise to learn that Sonic's main goal in this game is to spoil the wicked plans of Dr. Eggman (also known as Dr. Robotnik). As in previous games, the bad doctor has created an army of robotic enemies who would love nothing more than to present a bruised hedgehog to their master.

Sonic Advance is much more than a classic Sonic side-scroller. In addition to Sonic, players can also progress through the game playing as Knuckles, Tails or Amy. Since each character has different abilities, the gameplay experience changes depending on which character you choose to control.

Sonic Advance also features a cool multiplayer mode which allows up to four players to compete using just one Game Pak (each player must have a Game Boy Advance and the proper number of Game Boy Advance Game Link Cables must be used). In this chaotic minigame, players race through levels to see who can collect the most coins. If each player has a Sonic Advance Game Pak, even more options become available.

One of the greatest bonus features in Sonic Advance is the Tiny Chao Garden. The Tiny Chao Garden is where you can raise a cute little pet called a Chao. To keep your Chao happy, you have to pet it frequently, feed it often and buy it toys. By playing minigames, you can earn rings which can be traded in for food and toys. One minigame presents a slight variation of the classic memory game, while the other is an action game based on the good ol' rock/scissors/paper premise.

SONIC fête cette année ses 10 ans, et il n'a vraiment pas pris une ride ! Le 1er épisode de ses aventures sur MegaDrive l'avait rendu célèbre grâce à des graphismes superbes et une vitesse d'animation ahurissante ! Aujourd'hui le fabuleux développeur qu'est la SONIC TEAM nous fait revivre cette légende sur GBA !
