Do anything a spider can on Game Boy Color.

Activision's slick sequel to last year's Spider-Man game proves that Game Boy Color isn't ready to retire quite yet. Spider-Man 2 features improved play control, new worlds to explore and plenty of notorious villains to wrangle with webbing.

As the game opens, Doctor Octopus has kidnapped Aunt May. Spidey quickly learns that Doc Ock isn't working alone as he encounters other hulking henchmen like The Vulture, Mysterio and The Scorpion.

All of Spider-Man's special powers are at your fingertips, including the ability to swing through the air and cling to walls and ceilings. You can also wrap up bad guys with webbing, or take advantage of Spidey's super speed and super strength. The play control feels great, and Spider-Man's animations look realistically fluid as he crawls up walls and swings through the city sky.

Similar to Spider-Man for Nintendo 64, you'll have to collect extra web fluid canisters throughout each stage to keep your webs spinning. If you explore every last corner of each level, you'll find free lives and special power-ups like the silver Spidey Armor.

Frequent boss battles capture the excitement of Activision's Spider-Man series, but if you find yourself getting pummeled then you can decrease the difficulty level in the Options Menu. Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six is a polished Pak which stands out as one of the better action games on Game Boy Color. And of course, it plays on Game Boy Advance too!
