World at War: Volume II - Stalingrad
DOS version
World at War - Stalingrad
The Good
Excellent game. Good AI. Good graphics - not a shootem up, so graphics not a memory hog.
I've played this game hundreds of times, and it hasn't gotten boring.
Stalingrad demands that you think about the biggest potential force multiplier or divider - supply.
Really, the game is in a league of its own.
The Bad
No ability to create new scenarios - there are multiple scenarios and the ability to play either side.
I was unable to crack into the game and create larger maps with new units in new positions.
A game editor is a must.
I would like to play the whole Eastern front scenario with both sides.
The Bottom Line
Difficult. It started as a board game and then as a computer game.
I think it would be described as a game for serious people who wanted to use their minds.
It is not a flashy Duke Nukem. It requires patience and intelligence.
