Zzyzzyxx

Zzyzzyxx is a single screen game where you have to move from the bottom of the screen and collect gifts for your girlfriend Lola who stands at the top of the screen. Moving across the screen are rows of blocks which move either left to right, or right to left, with each row having gaps in them. You must move through the gaps looking for gifts that sit in them. Once you have collected enough gifts then Lola will whistle and you can join her at the top of the screen. Once Lola is reached then she appears at the bottom of the screen and you now have to move downwards.

As well as the gifts in the gaps, there are also nasties called Rattifers and if you touch one then you lose one of three lives. To protect yourself you can place a brick, either to block a gap so a Raffiter can't move towards you, or you can stand inside one you have placed. A golden helmet can also be found and this allows you to break one brick. As you get further into the game you will also encounter bombs dropping and missiles rising as well as cracked bricks that disintegrate.
