The Five Cores

Moby ID: 68260

Description

As an unnamed protagonist you receive a letter from an alien civilisation asking for your help. There is a sleeping child within a temple on the island you find yourself on, and you must wake up the child to save the world. In order to achieve this you must travel to 5 surrounding islands and solve mechanical puzzles, and the basis of the game is finding the puzzles and the clues to solving them. Before you can travel anywhere, you must also solve puzzles on the central hub island.

The Five Cores is a first-person game with free-roaming rather than step-based movement. It has a photorealistic art style set in multiple surreal environments, with each of the five islands have a different characteristic look. There is background music and sound, but as this is a solitary adventure with no other humans there is no voice acting.
