Description official description

Years ago, the Earth was threatened by an evil being known as the Plutonium Boss. The Plutonium Boss and his minions were devouring the Earth from within, and if they had succeeded, Earth would've been destroyed.

He didn't count on a young man named Jason, a beautiful alien woman named Eve, and their battle tank, the Sofia MA-01...because of his underestimation, the Plutonium Boss was defeated.

Since then, Jason had been defending the Earth from any threat that arises, with Eve by his side. She even bore him two children, Roddy and Elfie. Jason trained Elfie in engineering, and Roddy in battling in Sofia. But now Jason and Eve have died, and Roddy must take his father's place as defender of the Earth.

And an old threat seems to be arising to challenge this new generation of heroes...

An odd packaging deal? If you picked this game up at a Target store in the U.S., you may have gotten a 60 minute phone card from WorldCom packaged free with the game!

Inspiration

The background story (including the character "Eve") used to set the stage in Blaster Master: Blasting Again is actually based on the Worlds of Power novelization of the first Blaster Master game. The Worlds of Power books were a series of children's novels marketed by Schoolastic at school-age children in North America. The Blaster Master book was written under the pen name of F.X. Nine.

Title

As of 2006, Blaster Master: Blasting Again is the first and only game in the series to be released in Japan under the Blaster Master name (all other games are either known as Metafight and have a different storyline, with the exception of the US-only Blaster Master 2).
