Genesis version

Give It Up For Big E!

The Good
In 1993 ToeJam And Earl Panic On Funkotron came out which picks up from the original ToeJam And Earl revealing that when ToeJam and Earl came back to Funkotron at the end of the game humans who were hiding on the funkotronians ship are now on the loose on Funkotron causing havoc, now ToeJam and Earl must capture the humans in jars and send them back to earth where they belong.

This time however instead of he top-down views of the first one has a side-scrollers view and the gameplay has been changed to that of an average platformer with platforms to jump on and things to collect instead of throwing tomatoes by way of presents you throw jars at the humans to capture them the humans range from crazed poodles to Cow Ghosts certain humans take more jar throws to capture than others.

The music still has that funk sound from the first and the sound effects work well too the graphics look great this game is from 1993 so the genesis had some pretty good looking games at the time like Shinobi 3.

The Bad
Some of the enemies are ridiculously hard and poorly designed like the duck on the flying carpet yes this is a real enemy and why did they change the gamplay which was so original?

The Bottom Line
If you enjoyed the original then you should play this game even though they changed the gameplay to something more run of the mill.
