Star Wars Arcade

Moby ID: 7279

SEGA 32X version

A pretty decent Star Wars game.

The Good
The graphics, I think, are pretty good, but I think that the 32X could've done much better. Instead of making it a direct port of the original Arcade game, Sega included a special 32X mode, which adds another 4 levels to the original Arcade's 4 (total of 8 in 32X mode), and the Y-wing for 2-player mode only. Controls are simple, especially with the 6-button pad.

The Bad
The music is kinda cheap, the mission timer sucks, and just the overall "arcadeyness" of it...it just doesn't really feel like a Star Wars game.

The Bottom Line
If you're a Star Wars fan, I think you'll get a kick out of this game. If you're just an average joe of a gamer, this game provides some fun, but only for a couple hours. Overall, it's a decent Star Wars game that could've been a bit better.
