Not as good as the first game

The Good
The art style was carried over from the first game and was pretty good. I enjoyed the prospect of continuing the story from the first game, as I felt a lot was left unanswered.

The Bad
The story of this entry in the series is extremely convoluted and ends on a massive cliffhanger. You really have no idea what is going on at any given time. The puzzles, as a result, are all very meta and you don't know what it is that you're actually accomplishing by solving any of them.

The Bottom Line
The author of this game tried hard to continue the thought-provoking story of the first game, but didn't really succeed. Instead of a story about a person undergoing trauma and abuse, we get a supernatural tale that takes place inside the protagonist's head. We don't really continue the original story at all (that sort of happens in the third game in the series). The result is hard to follow and unsatisfying.
