Virus 3

Virus 3 is a puzzle game based on the Filler concept. It takes place on a board separated into individual cells in various colors. The player starts with a single cell in the top-left corner, and must spread the "virus" onto the rest of the board. In each move the player picks a color, and all cells in the specified color that border his territory come under his control.

In single-player mode, on each level the player must take over the entire board within a limited number of moves. On each subsequent level the move limit decreases by one. If the player fails to cover the board within the move limit, the game is over and the player's score is tallied. Score is gained for conquering cells and for completing a level with leftover moves available.

In the two-player mode the human player can compete with the computer or with another human. Both opponents start from opposite corners of the board and strive to take over more cells than the other player, with the game ending once the entire board is filled.

There are three cell shapes (square, hexagon, triangle), several board layouts, and various numbers of colors to choose from.

The browser version of the game acts as a limited teaser for the full retail version, offering a limited selection of layouts and color schemes, and no two-player mode.
