Description

Sonic Jump is a mobile phone game starring Sonic the Hedgehog. However, instead of horizontal side-scrolling levels to run through, Sonic must navigate through six vertically-oriented levels by jumping, which is done automatically as each type of surface acts as a trampoline. The player only controls the movement left and right. The villain, as usual, is Dr. Eggman. Several of his Badniks can be found in the levels, and they are defeated by jumping or by spinning in mid-air, activated with a button at the highest peak of a jump to get some extra boost. The player gains points by defeating Badniks, collecting rings, and clearing levels quickly. Hazards other than Badniks include disintegrating platforms and platforms with spiky undersides. Sonic can defeat enemies from below, but not by jumping on top of them. He also needs to prevent hitting the bottom of the screen without a solid surface below.
