A Room Without You In It
Description
A Room Without You In It is a short point-and-click adventure game. It is set in a single location, someone's home, and takes about fifteen minutes to complete. Some of the themes are grief, trauma and depression. At the start of the game the player takes control of a female protagonist, explores the environment, does some daily routines and then prepares to go outside. A sudden event then brings about a change to the environment and the locations need to be re-examined again to find out what is going on.
The game is played from a first-person perspective and consists of single-screen, fixed photographs edited to a lower resolution. White arrow keys to the side of the screen show where it is possible to move and doors can also be clicked to enter locations. A single mouse action is used to examine, move around, pick up items and interact with the environment. Collected items are stored near an inventory bar that pops up near the top of the screen. Some puzzles need to be solved to progress. There is no save option, the game has to be completed in a single session.
