The End of the World
- The End of the World (1983 on Atari 2600)
Description
The End of the World is a short 2D adventure game set in Newcastle, England about a man with a broken heart. The player controls the man through several days and flashbacks reveal some past memories. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes to complete. There are several locations to explore, often starting in his bedroom with each new day. He is moved left or right by holding one of the two sides at the bottom of the screen. Flickering objects can be interacted with through tapping. Many scenes have clocks. They can be tapped and held to start a flashback. There is no inventory and also no extensive puzzle-solving except for figuring out what to tap and where to go.
