Summary

BASED ON ANCIENT JAPANESE BOARD GAME

The Good

The game was very easy to get into, with the instructions telling you all you need to play the game. Colour & graphics are of sufficient quality for a game of this sort, & the sounds though limited do what they need to do. There are three skill levels, though the beginners one was able to defeat me, so I expect a long life if you want a challenge.

The Bad

Only annoying thing was you had to move the left & right arrow keys to place your counter, which can be quite annoying if you want to place one at the opposite end of the table, to where it ends.

The Bottom Line

Based on Japanese game GoMoku, & a good version considering this was an early Apple II game. If GoMoku is your thing, & want to play on Apple II or early computer this is nice to play & a good challenge. Unlike some board games, this one is not as common.
