Description
Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 5DX is the eighth game in the Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune racing series based on the Wangan Midnight manga. It is an update of Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune 5.
As there were several months between the Asian releases of WMMT5, some features introduced here were previously available in the international version of the game and not in the Japanese one, and vice versa. Additional content to this version was added at least up to February 2017. For instance, the Japanese version received four foreign manufacturers (Audio, BMW, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz) and the Hakone course (Mt. Taikan). The international version received the courses Sub-center Area (Shibuya/Shinjuku Line) and Ikebukuro Line/Yamate Tunnel. The new user interface and Maxi G and Maxi Shop additions were also brought over from the Japanese version. This release also introduces a new Kobe course that is entirely new.
The new cars are sometimes only part of the Japanese or Asian version. They were all released between December 2015 and February 2017 often through several updates.
