So how does this game line up to its enormous hype? Pawn has got to be the Adventure Of The Year for the 64 - it's as complex and texty as an Infocom game, with the bonus of graphics, the like of which have not been seen before in any 64 Adventure.
If you are a keen adventurer, The Pawn is a must; if you merely enjoy adventure games, you'll find few to beat Pawn. If you hate adventure games, playing The Pawn could mark the turning point int your life - your conversion into an adventure addict.

The game will be remembered as a classic, despite its faults.

The Pawn Is certainly a challenging game with some highly original problems and scenarios - in what other game can you find two separate uses for your shirt. The graphics add considerably to the descriptions and so it comes down to the big question of whether or not it is worth forking out twenty quid for a copy.
