THE iDOLM@STER Mobile is a mobile phone game in THE iDOLM@STER series. Originally, it was mainly used to check on an a player's unit and current rankings, and to receive real-life texts from the idols. There was also some exclusive content, such as illustrations, music recordings, cell phone wallpapers and dramas.
An update on December 21, 2010 added an "Area Game," where players could visit real-life locations to increase an idol's fan count. The mobile phone's location information was accessed, and 505 places in 47 prefectures were available to play in.
Additionally, the game was used as a QR Code distributor for the DSi-enhanced Nintendo DS game THE iDOLM@STER Dearly Stars.
