LEGO Ninjago: WU-CRU

LEGO Ninjago: WU-CRU is a side-scrolling arcade game based on LEGO Ninjago franchise. Dark Matter Crystals have erupted from the ground all around the tea farm. Cole, Jay, Zane, Kai and Lloyd have disappeared while investigation of the case. As a new ninja the player must rescue the crew members and clarify the matter of crystals.

The main menu is divided into tactical map, where player select next mission territory, character chamber and current ninja visualisation screen.

The gameplay has been expanded in comparison to the previous games by adding some quasi RPG elements. The game starts from own character creation process, including elemental, weapon and visualization. Each mission requires reaching out the extraction point by avoiding traps and opponents or overcome them when necessary, while gathering bricks elements and destroying Dark Matter Crystals.

The bricks are converted into experience points necessary for advancement to the next level. Encountered chests contain many bricks, but require mastering lockpick abilities. Some passages require the use of a proper key and lever or are available only for the character of the corresponding element. The promotion to a higher level allows to improve one of the five available character attributes.

Silently approach from behind or from from hiding in the bush allows to finish the fight within just one hit. Ringing the bells may be used to distract opponents, while falling into a sound trap may attract undesirable company. Spinjitzu operates for a few seconds and destroys any opponent reached by a tornado.

Each released ninja can be used by the player in every subsequent mission as additional team members.
