Commodore 64Zzap! (Sep, 1987)
Rev that thottle, pull a wheelie and burn across the dirt track - Kickstart is back with a vengeance. This enhanced version of the classic motorcycling simulation boasts 24 new courses, improved graphics, tweaked gameplay, a couple of new hazards and a course designer.
AmigaAmiga User International (Apr, 1988)
Kikstart II keeps all the playability of the original, but it has to be said that it does little to push the Amiga's hardware. But this is what budget software should be about, not just cheap rubbish that sells on the basis that it has BMX or Ninja in the title. Kikstart II is a well presented fun game that should be bear the top of your shopping list.

Without trying to sound too much like a dog with a whopping, meaty, brand new butcher's bone, I simply cannot put this game down for too long. I do not often stick to one game for such a long period of time but this will join the land of the invincibles together with the likes of classics like International Tennis and Impossible Mission. High praise indeed.
Commodore 64Commodore Format (Mar, 1994)
No doubt about it, Kik Start II is a triumph of gameplay over ephemera. It's simple, exceptionally addictive and downright, honest good fun. I liked it so much that I brought the company. Not.
ZX SpectrumYour Sinclair (Apr, 1988)
Fun little moto-cross game in ATV Simulator mode, marred only by some eccentric collision detection.
Commodore 64Eurogamer.net (UK) (Oct 26, 2007)
One of the few games of the era to include its own track editor, really determined souls could even create their own courses, but with 26 included, the game already had more than enough for the asking price.
Commodore 64Happy Computer (Aug, 1987)
ZX SpectrumACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) (Mar, 1988)
All the thrills and spills of dirt bike racing? Well, not quite, but it's a playable game for a short while and the course-designer means you can at least experiment with the obstacles. The 24 preset courses will not take long to master and the computer opponent is a pushover. A simple, fun game, but don't expect much in the lasting interest stakes.
