Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons
Description
Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons is a real-time tactics game where the player controls a squad of mercenaries fighting for survival in an occupied system. As the commander, the player needs to manage his troops (including mech customization), relations with other factions, and choose which missions to accept. The game takes place in a futuristic setting, with the mercenary company stationed aboard a space battlecruiser.
Aside from the main story missions, there are optional side missions. If the player accepts side missions, the relation with the contractor faction will be improved, and it will decline with the targeted faction. When a faction is friendly, the player can recruit specialized troops from that faction. When it is hostile, troops from that faction will appear from time to time on the battlefield attacking the player's troops. The are different unit classes with specialized roles and distinct sets of weapons, abilities and skill trees. The squads are persistent and can be customized with different weapons and skills.
Aside from the infantry squads, the player also has access to mechs, which can also be customized with different weapons and equipment.
