Neue Level für Age of Empires

This add-on is a collection of fan-designed scenarios created by well-known names in the Age of Empires community...people such as Ingo van Thiel, Rich Parker, Christopher Thereault and others. Its creation was in part due to the request of a person who is known as Imhotep. Imhotep thought that the campaigns that shipped with Age of Empires were poorly designed, and that Ensemble Studios should rely on fan-designed campaigns in their subsequent games. A debate on this raged for a while in the Age of Empires Heaven scenario design forum, which you can read here. Ensemble Studios turned down his offer, and the disgruntled Imhotep soon left the community.

The irony is, a few weeks later Ensemble Studios changed their mind and several fan-designed scenarios were compiled in this add-on. If Imhotep had stayed he could have been a part of it. :)
