As I asked in the subject as they seem to be developed by different teams. Black Box Games and Electronic Arts, Inc.. So do they need a split or can it stay like it is?

Might need a split. The game is on my private list for split investigations, along with many other NASCAR and F1 games by EA, but I haven't investigated further.
