A complete, official, English translation was made for the game, and even sent to reviewers, but at the last minute the release was canceled. It was originally scheduled for release by AIA USA. The translation was eventually leaked on the internet.

Some gamers may recognize Taro's master at the dojo as Segata Sanshiro, who was Sega's fictional spokesman in Japan for the Saturn.
