Description

Vertigo Racing is a racing game where the player drives a car on a winding track in ten environments: Mediterana, Botanica, Nordpeaks, Dusklane, Evergreen, Desertpass, Moonroad, Riviera, Glacier and Palmvale. The goal is to drive as far as possible, reaching checkpoints to replenish fuel, but it is not really an endless racer. Instead ten different cars can be eventually unlocked and by reaching ten specific distances on each track to win a cup. Cars are based on five statistics (acceleration, brake, damage, fuel and speed). All of those except for braking can be upgraded multiple times by spending coins, the in-game currency provided through completing races. Cars can also be customized through a paint job.

The car moves forward automatically and the steering is also handled by the AI. The player only controls acceleration and braking through two virtual buttons on the screen. A high speed needs to be maintained to keep getting new fuel, but braking is required to prevent crashing into objects. A car can only sustain a limited amount of damage before it is wrecked. Combining acceleration and braking can be used to send the car into drifts. It is free-to-play with in-app purchases for additional coins, a permanent coin doubles or to remove all advertisements forever. Next to the main goals there are additional challenges to complete, rewarded with coins.
