Ben Olsen (featured on the cover of the US PS2 version) suffered the curse by breaking his ankle and missing the entire following season.

Missing Sponsors

While it was the first in the series to include real and unique kits, some teams did not carry shirt sponsors. The reason? They were sponsored by rival companies such as Eidos (Manchester City) or Infogrames (Olympique Lyon).
