Spellcaster: The Forgotten Spell

After an encounter with a shadowy figure in your home, you recover and end up in a strange magical land, known as Suidemor, city of the Fey. You quickly discover that Suidemor is not a safe place, with goblins, fey, ogres and more, eager to trick you or cause you harm. However, there are those who would protect you from the evil Olcrada, who is searching for you. Will you be able to survive in Suidemor?

The Forgotten Spell is a gamebook similar to the Fighting Fantasy series. You read through a story, and at key points, you are given a choice about what to do next. You cannot progress to some areas unless you have necessary items, while at certain points you must use your wits and solve a puzzle to progress. Another feature unique to The Forgotten Spell is that of casting spells: at a certain point in the game, you acquire a spellbook, and can use spells from it at different parts of the story to solve problems. However, choosing an inappropriate spell for your situation may result in undesirable results - or worse yet, prove to be fatal.

Throughout the gamebook are many full colour illustrations by Warhammer 40K and Fighting Fantasy artist Tony Hough. These are added to an art gallery as you progress. There are also achievements to encourage players to revisit and explore different areas.
