Whilst World of Tanks might not be everyone, the title is flawless in its execution. The battlefield experience is as intense and as nerve wracking as any multiplayer game even though it might not be the twitch fest of some of the more popular online shooter titles. Improved visuals and a great soundscape add to the all round experience. The game is as welcoming to newcomers as it is to veterans. Battles are always evenly balanced, and everyone has a chance of earning rewards from the combat and with the title being free-to-play, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't download it and give it a try.
Gaming Nexus (Aug 21, 2015)
Still free to play, World of Tanks brings explosive action and hours of fun with each sitting that will make it hard to put down. Veterans and new players alike can appreciate the upgrades that Wargaming.net has implemented, making for a solid title that's still one of the best free to play games on the market.

Patches für so manche Mängel würden wir also begrüßen, die Patzer hindern uns aber keineswegs daran, nach dem Test gleich weiter zu spielen - denn World of Tanks ist auch auf der Xbox One ein Online-Spiel mit Sogwirkung.
Hardcore Gamer Magazine (Aug 07, 2015)
World of Tanks on Xbox One is the definitive way to experience the game on consoles. The Xbox 360 was a nice teaser for what it could be, but you can see the concept fully formed here. It plays better than it did on 360 and looks fantastic. New weather effects add a lot of life to the action and make for a more exciting experience. As a free to play game, there’s no barrier of entry to speak of. If the game’s concept has ever intrigued you, give it a download — it’s excellent and something all shooter fans should try out.
USgamer (Aug 11, 2015)
World of Tanks is an entertaining and enjoyable tactical shooter with a surprising amount of depth. If you're not prepared to pony up some cash, it does become a grind eventually – but if you reach that point and you still want to play, spending some money is very likely a worthwhile investment.
Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) (Aug 19, 2015)
World of Tanks offers enough tense action and team-based strategy that can be enjoyable even for those who aren’t usually into war-themed games?all for the unbeatable price of free. Unfortunately, the experience is marred at times by a level of unfriendliness for new players, and a long grind at higher levels for those not willing to shell out major cash.
Common Sense Media (2015)
Beyond the game's value as entertainment, it provides an immersion in the history of the tanks and the countries they represented. Currently, World of Tanks has armored vehicles from six countries; U.S.A., Japan, Russia, China, Germany, and Britain. As with all the Wargaming titles, these are great games for military buffs and are family-friendly. Younger kids can easily master the game so long as parents keep in mind the unmoderated language they may get exposed to during matches. The greatest value of World of Tanks is the stunning beauty of the game, the reasonable gameplay sessions, and the critical thinking and strategic planning wrapped in a fun and engaging game that can provide hours of fun for a single player or for gameplay with family and friends.

World of Tanks on Xbox One may not suit every player out there. It can be confusing at times and the grind to unlock the best tanks without spending real money is quite epic. However, the game is offered for free and really is a great way to spend a few hours. There is no reason not to give World of Tanks on Xbox One a try. Maybe you will unlock your inner tank commander and become a battlefield legend?
Gamereactor (Sweden) (Aug 10, 2015)
Destructoid (Aug 03, 2015)
Anyone who truly appreciates World of Tanks won't need a review to guide them. They're already well beyond the long barrier to entry. Everyone else will likely find themselves similarly on the outside looking in. There might be something special to World of Tanks, but it's not something that's immediately apparent; it's something that only shows itself after a significant investment. The gameplay can be rewarding at times, but most won't have the patience (or the money) to ever get to that point. Thus, World of Tanks won't ever be more than a quick detour on the way to something that's easier to comprehend.
