War Ships

Moby ID: 75158

Description official description

War Ships is a Battleship variant. The basics are identical to the original board game: all players (up to four) place their four ships on a grid and take turns to shoot rockets on the grid. The goal is to sink all enemy ships. The biggest difference is that all ships are placed on the same grid. There are are two other additions to the classic formula: special rockets show how many surrounding squares have enemy ships on them and the radar can be activated when an enemy is about to hit an own square. The use of the radar is limited.

There are four playing modes which control how many rockets are fired per round: by ship (each ship shoots the same amount of rockets as surviving squares; only one ship fires per turn), all (the same as per ship, but all ships fire every round), five per turn and one per turn (if an enemy ship is hit, the player receives an extra shot).
