After GMI, Gard started working for MSI Solutions Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, later bought up by Eclipsys Corporation.
After 2.5 years in the US, returned to Toronto and worked a year for Zox, a start-up that went belly up when Microsoft announced its competing .net platform. Returned to Norway, where he started his own company, Stuffy Rabbit, before moving to the Arctic and started working as CTO at an indeginous high school.
In 2007, his company changed name to Trollsilm (Troll's eye) with a renewed focus on software development. He also changed his own name to Gard Abrahamsen Tuur-Eggesbø when he married.
