Biography edit · view history
After he became a fan of DP9's Heavy Gear, Lloyd got involved online with a group of people and worked on creating several custom settings using the Silhouette game system. One of them was an alternate history setting that diverged between WWI and WWII (it was roughly outlined to continue to modern time). This setting is what became known as Gear Krieg. While working on this setting, Lloyd also worked at trade shows and conventions, not only selling products but also running demo games of the different product lines (at the time, Heavy Gear, Jovian Chronicles and Gear Krieg).
With Activision working on translating Heavy Gear to a video game, Lloyd was asked to help beta test and to evaluate how well it compared and kept the feel of the Heavy Gear setting. During this time, Lloyd got to know a few people at Activision.
