Frank C. Earl is a game porter and software consultant specializing in porting game products to Linux. Starting his career in the Linux gaming industry as a Beta tester on some of Loki Software's titles, he has also done work for Linux Game Publishing, such as being an important developer for the Linux port of Ballistics. Some of his independent consulting work also includes work on the game Caster. He is also a lurker on several Linux related websites, particularly the Linux benchmarking and news service Phoronix, where he became known for publicly asking people what games they would like to see ported to the Linux platform. He is commonly know by his nickname "Svartalf".
