Since winning Australia’s “Star Search” in 1991 Hugh Wilson has been a respected and in-demand professional vocalist in Australia, Singapore, and since 2001 New York.

Credits include touring as a vocalist for Lenny Kravitz, recording bg vocals for Savage Garden’s debut album, co-writing and producing sessions for Sarah Blasko, Daniel James, and Steve Deal, and recording with myriad composers, producers and engineers in the NYC and Sydney advertising scenes, from Henry Hirsch to Lindsay Jehan, Sherman Foote, Peter Bliss, the Alessi brothers, Eric Kaye, Charles Fisher, Eric Weideman, Ben Butler, Mark Moffatt, La Menga Kafi, Shaun ‘Stakka’ Morris and more.

Vocals featured on nationally televised commercials include: Sprite Zero (Freedom from thirst), Kohls, M&Ms, Smirnoff, L’Oreal, Hess, Home Depot, (USA) and Foxtel, McDonalds, Hyundai, Toyota, South Australia tourism, Coca Cola and Wendy’s (Australia)

Vocals on Australian television shows include Channel 10’s “Turn me on 10” campaign, Water Rats, Animal Hospital.

As a recording artist Hugh released “Iliad” thru Polydor in 1992, and with the band ‘Vertigo’ released the top 40 single “Forever Lately” thru BMG, followed by ‘Human Need’ with subsequent televised performances promoting all CDs on Aussie shows such as “Hey Hey it’s Saturday”, “Good morning Australia”, “Video Hits” and more.

Additionally, since 2001 Hugh has worked as a music director for Ryland Angel, Christian City Church Manhattan (2001-2006) and Richard Fowler (2006 NYC production of “For Christ’s Sake” – in which he also performed vocally) and as a worship leader for CCC Manhattan, Grace, and Bay Ridge Christian Center (2007/08)
