Émile Morel was a French game designer. His last position was as Creative Director on Beyond Good and Evil 2 at Ubisoft Montpellier, a position he took on most likely in early 2023.
He started working on games at Eden Games in July 2004 as a Game Designer Trainee and stayed with the company until May 2009, eventually as the studio's Lead Designer. At Eden he worked on several Alone in the Dark titles, The Adventures of Tintin: The Game and Test Drive Unlimited 2.
He then joined Ubisoft where he worked alongside Michel Ancel on Rayman Legends and also the mobile title Rayman Fiesta Run.
In early July 2023 it was reported he passed away at the age of 40.
