Biography edit · view history
One of the many game designers who helped bring Activision into the spotlight in the early 1980's, Cartwright's work includes Barnstorming, Frostbite, MegaMania, Plaque Attack and SeaQuest, designed for the Atari VCS. For the Commodore 64 computer, he designed and produced a licensed home version of the movie Aliens, which was among the first games to sport digitized cutscenes. He followed those titles with Hacker and Hacker II.
He left Activision in the late 1980's and joined Accolade, where he worked on Fast Break, Search for the King, and Lost in L.A.. He joined Electronic Arts in 1992, where he worked on the NBA Live product line and PGA Tour games. In 2002, he returned to his roots by developing simple games for Glu Mobile.
More recently, Cartwright directed the design and development of Zoo World 2 on Facebook for Rockyou.
