Biography edit · view history

Tony Schiavone, born Noah Anthony "Tony" Schiavone, was one of many World Championship Wrestling personnel who contributed to Electronic Arts' game based on the WCW license, WCW Mayhem.

As the main announcer of WCW, Schiavone worked on most of their major events, including pay-per-view events and television programs and is often quoted as being as much a part of WCW as Jim Ross was to the WWF. During his 20-year career in professional wrestling, Schiavone also commentated on events for WCW's predecessor, Jim Crockett Promotions, as well as the WWF.

After a 14-year hiatus, Schiavone returned to professional wrestling as a color commentator for Major League Wrestling in 2017, and joined All Elite Wrestling as a color commentator and senior producer in August 2019. In addition to his duties with MLW and AEW, he also works in baseball as the play-by-play announcer for the Gwinnett Braves of the International League. He is also a morning radio sports anchor in Atlanta (and in Gainesville, GA), a sportswriter and post-game radio host for the Georgia Bulldogs, and the owner of the radio production company Blind Dog Sports.
