Gene Mauro brings a decade of video game industry experience to Myelin Media. Prior to joining Myelin, Mr. Mauro was Founder and CEO of Capital Entertainment Group, Inc. (CEG), the game industry's first independent production company. Mr. Mauro developed the business plan, recruited the management team, raised capital and managed the company's general operations, including its relationships with developers and publishers.
Prior to founding CEG, Mr. Mauro was Founder and President of Dotted Line Entertainment, Inc., an international services firm that specialized in project finance and the development of intellectual properties with major publishers, game developers and licensees including: EA, Atari, Disney, Vivendi-Universal, eGames, Burger King and American Express. Before founding Dotted Line, Mr. Mauro established the video game vertical for Management Recruiters International in Boston, Massachusetts where he grew revenue for the game sector at a rate of at least 100% per year. He established relationships and rounded out management teams at the executive level for clients that included Hasbro Interactive, MGM, Microsoft, Acclaim, GT and IBM, among others.
Mr. Mauro is a frequent speaker at numerous industry events, including the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) as well as other game development and marketing conferences. Mr. Mauro graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
