Haruomi Hosono is widely recognized as one of the most influential figures in the history of electronic music. He was one of the founding members of groundbreaking electronic music band Yellow Magic Orchestra, which pioneered the use of synthesizers and other then-new technology in music production. In addition to his work in YMO, he has pursued a prolific solo career and has acted as a producer for other artists.
