Sergey "Fly" Makovkin is a game developer known for creating csDoom - a version of ZDoom (source port of Doom) with client-server multiplayer, released in 2000. Its networking code became the base for all modern multiplayer Doom source ports: ZDaemon, Zandronum (Skulltag) and Odamex.
In January 2001, Makovkin announced that he no longer had enough time to work on csDoom, and that he, together with a friend, started writing a new 3D engine optimized for hardware T&L.
