A group of teenagers trying to avoid capping at the age of sixteen flee, in search for the white mountains which, as tales were told, is the human resistance against the Tripods. This takes them from England to France where the mountains are located.

It is an adventure game based on the BBC television series The Tripods broadcasted between 1984 and 1985. It mostly plays like a text adventure, but contains graphics too. Actions are selected from an action line showing the actions L (look left) / MV (move) / R (look right) / PK (items in the backpack) / HEALTH / 1 / 2 / EAT. Players select an action by pressing the corresponding key. Descriptions in text about the actions and the situation are shown near the bottom of the screen, below the graphics.

The bottom of the bar also has a bar showing the time left until nightfall. The game supports up to four players taking turns, so when night has come for one player, another player then gets to play. Another part involves avoiding Tripods while exploring. There are often multiple options to deal with a situation. For instance: you can attempt to hide from a Tripod or disorientate it by using a radio to upset its communication systems. This is tied to using specific items stored in the backpack.

Added description to Xadom · April 18, 2020

Xadom is an action game where you have to collect weapons to battle monsters and aliens. The character needs to find a way through mazes and enter a next room through a portal near the top of the screen. There is complex story introduction involving a character whisked away to a satellite five kilometres above Earth to appear before a Local Grand Council.

The game uses single, fixed-screen levels shown from a bird's eye perspective. Rooms only last a few seconds as the character just moves on to the portal. However there are some obstacles and some rooms contain traps and aliens that need to be avoided. While some rooms are almost completely empty, others contain a weapon. Weapons can be used to strike in four directions.

The HUD shows the current room, the collected weapons, the power score and the total score. There are three difficulty levels:

  • 20 rooms - 6 traps - 4 aliens
  • 100 rooms - 10 traps - 7 aliens
  • 200 rooms - 10 traps - 10 aliens

The game speed can also be adjusted based on three levels. The game ends when a final teleporter is reached and then the total score is calculated.

Added description to Alien Kill · April 15, 2020

Alien Kill is an arcade action game that borrows in an unusual way from titles like Breakout. In a single, fixed screen environment the player controls a character at the bottom and needs to kill an alien at the top, hidden behind a large wall with multiple layers.

The character can be moved horizontally and shoots vertically in a straight line using a magnum laser. Instead of breaking the wall down with a paddle the character needs to break the wall's bricks one by one using the gun to reach the alien and hit it multiple times to kill it before time runs out.

The alien has more defences such as an indestructible "tungstidium" barrier that often moves in front of the character and absorbs shots, like a reverse take on a paddle. In addition there is a barrier of white monsters in front of the alien and those require two shots to take them out. Points are scored for hitting the alien, destroying bricks and killing the white monsters. When the alien is killed before time runs out 1,000 points are provided. There are three difficulty levels. The time left is shown through a meter at the bottom that slowly decreases.
