In July 2009 Greg Ballard, President & CEO of Glu Mobile for 6 years, announced he would be leaving the company. On December 1, 2009 it was announced that William J. Miller would assume the position of interim President and Chief Executive Officer.

The company was acquired by Electronic Arts on 10 February 2021.

The company opens two new officies: one in Cologne, Germany and another in Nice, France. At the same time, the Glu EMEA headquarters and development studio in London relocates to the Kensington Village complex in the West Kensington area of London.
