Kim Kardashian: Hollywood
Description official descriptions
In Kim Kardashian: Hollywood the player controls a character who wants to make it to become a celebrity in Hollywood. After a chance encounter with Kim Kardashian in the clothes store where the character works, it suddenly becomes a reality. The player's character joins Kim Kardashian at photo shoots, meet and greets and on the red carpet on the way to Hollywood stardom. There are many opportunities to acquire more fame by becoming a model or an actor.
The gameplay of the free-to-play title Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is almost identical to the two earlier Stardom games by the same developer. In different locations in Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the rest of Los Angeles it is possible to participate in activities and interact with characters, often with choices through branching dialogue options. Interaction is limited to tapping icons to further the story. The most important tasks require a lot of actions that consume energy. Energy drains fast and regenerates over time, by waiting, spending currencies, watching videos or offers, or leveling up. There is also the basic cash currency and the premium K-Star currency. Small amounts of currency and energy are provided for completing projects. The most important difference compared to the Stardom games is the use of a license to introduce a prominent celebrity who constantly provides advice. There are also custom videos and voice-acting by Kim Kardashian.
Typical for the series there is a large amount of customization options for the character, with many different choices for hairstyles, tops, pants, shoes and accessories. These are unlocked gradually by leveling up or by spending currencies. There are also temporary offers where real-life collections from major fashion designers are integrated in the game. Certain clothes come with a professional or a romantic bonus, providing a boost for projects and dates respectively. Next to dating it is possible to buy real estate and adopt a pet to receive boosts. In a separate section of the game custom photographs can be created with various accessories and these can be saved on the device to share with other players.
Eventually the character gets to climb the social ladder to become a prominent figure in the Hollywood society, represented through the Top Stars list. The character also has a custom news feed. Progressing is often done by networking or flirting with the right people, but also through luxe goals, partnerships and participating in Top Shows. Through actions such as claiming daily gift boxes, leveling up, and buying in-app purchases, Celebrity Perk Points are earned for additional rewards. In-app purchases also permanently remove the in-game advertisements.
