IDEA Games stands for Independent Developers Association. The Czech company was founded in 2005 by three game development studios as initial members: Bohemia Interactive Studio, Altar Games and Black Element Software.
The association's operations focus on a variety of services for its members, including legal, sales, marketing and PR services, contract negotiations, business plan creation, representation at industry conventions and fairs.
With Centauri Production s.r.o. another Czech development studio joined the formation in 2009. In late 2010 Bohemia Interactive Studio acquired all other members. IDEA games continued as partner for the former and its newly occupied subsidiaries.
