Digital Image Design Ltd.

Overview

Martin Kenwright was the main man behind this English company, which did some very advanced work in 3D polygon graphics for PC, Amiga and ST, mostly in flight simulations such as the much-loved EF2000.

The original name of the company was Piercingautomatic Limited and it was founded in 1989 and originally located in Runcorn, England, but later moved to a new location in Warrington. When it was acquired by Infogrames, many of the employees left to form Evolution Studios.

The company was then sold to Rage Software plc in 1999, and at that time it was renamed Digital Image Design Limited.

In 2003, after the demise of Rage, many of the original key staff members of Digital Image Design formed Juice Games, occupying DID's previous Warrington, England location.
