Martech

Overview

Former teacher David Martin founded Martech, a UK company which initially looked at making board/computer game crossovers but ultimately settled on being primarily involved in licensed titles, including digital creations of Zoids, model-turned-singer Sam Fox and daredevil Eddie Kidd.

The original name of the company was Software Communications Ltd, before it became Martech. In 1987 Electronic Arts took a stake in the company, and in 1989 it rebranded as Screen 7 Ltd.

The company closed soon after, with Martin first forming the short-lived Emerald Games before going to to work for Gremlin.
