Description

Great Adventures by Fisher-Price: Castle is a game for children. It shares its name with the 1995 title Great Adventures by Fisher-Price: Castle, but it is a completely different game. The premise is however identical: a kingdom is taken over by having its knights taken away. This time the villain is Vigor, a Viking, and the player is a squire who helps king Crumb to find the six knights. Everything else in the game is different. When successful the king will make the squire an official knight of the round table. The story is narrated by a small dragon called Fanglebert.

From a central room the main areas can be accessed such as the jewel room, armory, royal castle builder, round table room, ye castle roof and the dungeon. Most of the knights are hidden in these locations and can be found by clicking the correct item in the scenery. They gather in the round table room. In one of the mini-games the villain's ballista needs to be held back by bouncing back arrows by moving a shield at the bottom, like a game of Breakout but with a behind view. On the roof the cannon can be loaded with a variety of objects for a comical effect.

In the kitchen recipes need to be completed by gathering the correct number and types of ingredients. Players can also design a custom coat of arms by dragging elements and selecting colors. It can be printed as well. The build-a-castle and castle comic activities have a similar concept. The game contains a number of songs with the lyrics displayed to sing along.
