Description

Chutes and Ladders is an adaptation of the classic children's board game of moving up and down. Players proceed along a board advancing closer to the finish when they land on a ladder space and falling back when they land on a chute space. The PC version is a kid friendly interpretation designed for 4-6 year olds.

This game sucks and is a complete ripoff of the original board game!

The Good
The seal from the circus mini game and the classic board looking like the board game version of Chutes and Ladders.

The Bad
Almost everything else in this game!!! It is complete bullshit compared to online games like Call of Duty and Minecraft!

The Bottom Line
Compared to other games I played as a kid, this is one of the worst games I have ever played. Hasbro usually is terrible at making remakes of classic board games. One day, I will destroy that game and uninstall it from the computer I played it on. I prefer playing the board game. The PC game is just too annoying! This game is for anyone who doesn't have a life! Hey kids, have you ever heard of Facebook? Call of Duty? Google+? YOUTUBE?! The people that you care about? You can definitely make friends using the Internet and in school! Not with the kids in Chutes and Ladders! They just stare at you while playing the game! I'm not kidding!

To start off, the theme song is very annoying and looks like a crappy cartoon version of It's a Small World! It's all about that god damn Chutes and Ladders! I wish they would just shut up about the game and we could get right to it! Luckily, you can press the ESC key to skip that annoying song!

The animation looks like it's broken. You can clearly see the pixels in everything, including the kids! I understand this is an old computer game, but it looks terrible compared to Tonka Monster Trucks, an old computer game that is a thousand times better than this stupid version of the original Chutes and Ladders board game. When the kids skip across the boards, you can see that there are some frames missing as they skip. Lazy animators! They also stare at you like they want to be your friend! It's scary!

The music is very boring. It's just kiddie music looping over and over. The classic board has the stupidest music ever! It makes me want to kill myself! It is nothing compared to Queen, Led Zeppelin, 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, Rush, the music in Looney Tunes, the music in Spongebob, Kevin Macleod's music, and much more music that I like!

The boards still look like the original board game, especially the classic board. 100 spaces for each of the three boards. That's one of the only things I like about this game. Unfortunately, the ladder from square #21 to square #42 is missing. Also, most of the things on the classic board are animated, and that duck at square #28 keeps on quacking. It is an obnoxious sound that you can hear, especially once you load the board!

The gameplay sucks! But at least it sticks to the original! Why does this gameplay suck? Well I tell you.

The Good Deeds: Before the kids go up ladders, some of the good deeds they do are very pointless. They are just kids, but can they really help a clown get in a tiny car? Can they really make the other team win in basketball? Can they really pull a thorn out of a tiger's paw and not get eaten?! Are these living things stupid or something? Half of these good deeds don't make any sense! They're just kids! These people and animals never went to school, so they should know how to do stuff by themselves!

The Consequences: Before the kids get to slide down a chute, causing them to be farther away from the finish, the bad things the kids do are very retarded and sometimes can make other living things angry at them, making the kid very ashamed of him/herself. Some things are very stupid, such as poking a beehive with a stick, which threatens all the bees to sting the kid (they actually look like flies, not bees), interrupting a performance at the circus which makes moles cry and drop their plates, pulling a lion's tail, tickling a fire breather, yelling too loud which upsets an old man, scaring an elephant with a mouse, trampling flowers, talking with your mouth full which makes a girl annoyed, cutting in line and more! All of these consequences are not funny at all! I can watch all these consequences without laughing. These bad things are actually very stupid and sometimes scary because I am worried about getting killed or getting a mean look from someone (unless it's anyone I hate at school)! This game teaches kids it's perfectly okay to interrupt the circus, help smart people in the park, or barge in animal's habitats and fuck around with the animals and people just for the sake of their own amusement and they pretty much act like Wander from the TV show Wander Over Yonder because they want to help, just like him! They are going to get kicked out of the circus or zoo or killing someone in the park just by doing these stupid things!

The mini games suck! Each one ranges from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the activity. It's no fun at all! If I hear that girl saying "Good job!" one more time, I'll smash that disc to pieces and throw it away! Plus, some of these games have stupid stuff happening, such as a mama monkey crying like a baby while her baby doesn't, poodles doing stupid tricks like wearing tutus or riding unicycles, a blue bird acting like Potty the Parrot from Spongebob for food, and worst of all, there is your child's worst nightmare on screen! The clown. And this clown is scary, just like the animatronics in Five Nights at Freddy's! At least the clown is not an animatronic! The mini games also stall you from completing the actual game if you play them way too much! The tennis games are supposed to be the best games in Chutes and Ladders in my opinion, but they are boring. All you do is play tennis with an animal bigger than the kids, like a seal or an elephant. That wouldn't happen in real life. I'd rather watch tennis on TV than play tennis in this game! >:(

The voices suck! It sounds like real kids providing voices to teach kids the game and life lessons. The girl sounds like Baby Lola bunny and the boy sounds like one of my brother's friends! The girls sound like the boys in every good deed and consequence!

And finally, if you didn't win, the kids still say "You won!" even though you didn't win! That is complete bullshit! They should've said "I'm sorry! You lost! Better luck next time!" and the crowd should boo at you and not cheer at your friend!

Overall, I think you have to let your children play a much better educational game like Putt Putt. This game needs to go burn in hell! It is just as bad as Hotel Mario!
