Trivia

At the release time the game contained so many bugs that it was nearly unplayable. This was due to the fact that Infogrames rushed the release because they wanted the game to be release before EAs F1 2002.

Therefore the beta test team did not have the time to test the game and the Microprose programmers could not finish the game - this was the beginning of the end of the GP series. Three months later Infogrames shut down the Microprose studios. Geoff Crammond took his source code and is now working on a sequel to the famous Stunt Car Racer.
