. Players must type the verb and the noun to do different actions and finally break virginity of protagonist. The player's name is not yet Larry, but the plot of the game is very similar to Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards
. The player has to collect items to win over women in creative ways.

The game's cover shows 3 nude women and a waiter in a hot tub. The hot tub was located at the house of Ken and Roberta Williams, On-Line Systems' owners. The circles in the background is a duplicated image of the top of the hot tub. The woman on the left was a shipping clerk at On-Line Systems, the one in the center is the wife of Bob Davis
who created Ulysses and the Golden Fleece
and the one on the right is Roberta Williams herself. The man was a waiter from a local restaurant. The image was featured in TIME magazine's first story on computer games.

Chuck Benton originally wrote Softporn Adventure
as a computer programming experiment to test his theories on databases as the game uses multiple text-based databases in the play of the game. He did this because he knew databases were a thing of the future.
