The Good
This game surprised me. I was so prepared for a total, ridiculous catastrophe like in Complete Waste of Time that I was in utter shock when I found, to my surprise, that I actually ENJOY the second PC game in the Monty Python fame. Damn right!
So what's good about The Quest for the Holy Grail? Well, for one, the movie. It was utterly awesome. See it, believe it. Viva la british humour. Yeah. So, with The Quest for the Holy Grail containing various video clips from The Holy Grail (not to mention a few that didn't make it into the movie!) In short, two thumbs up for that. The video quality isn't shameful either.
Aside from this, the interaction is far more appealing than it was in Complete Waste of Time (although also a lot harder to properly figure out), the sound quality was properly revamped and the non-video-backdrop graphics are also far superiour to CWOT.
And most importantly, the game is fun and actually hillarious! I had a great time playing it, laughed my ass off and eventually rolled all over the floor (my Polish mother wasn't very happy about it either).
The Bad
The only two problems with this game are (a) a completely linear storyboard and (b) a bizarre bug, which as it turns out causes that some games (or maybe on certain machines, I'm not sure) can be finished while others can't. That means I had to play it 3 or 4 different times until I could finally get somewhere. I know it's odd, but that's the way it was.
The Bottom Line
A much, much, much better game than the previous one in the Monty Python PC game series, and a generally fun game.

Trivia
Ending
The game's main menu has a button labeled "Win the game". When you click on it, you are treated to a drawn ending screen telling you you've won the game.
When you really finish the game, you can watch King Brian the Wild, a animation sketch which was originally planned for the movie, but eventually cut out.
Manual
The manual for Monty Python & the Quest for the Holy Grail takes a somewhat rare approach for making sure that the player really reads it from beginning to end. For every dull technical instruction there follows something humorous, weird or absurd as befits a Monty Python game. Some examples from the manual:
After the introduction has compared the game to the previously released Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time:
Note: For those of you who never bothered buying Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time, the preceding paragraph does not apply. Instead, the following sentence applies to you: Buy Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time.
After the system requirements:
For optimal digestion, you should have at least the following system configuration:* Mouth, esophagus, stomach, liver, small intestine, and large intestine * Bladder * Two kidneys (second one optional)
After the installation instructions:
Just remember: If, during the installation process, you ever decide to stop before you're finished, your installation will stop and will not finish. To begin installation all over again, you must begin the installation all over again. Then, as before, if, during the installation process, you decide to stop before you're finished , your installation will stop and will not finish. However, installation may be begun all over again, just as long as you begin the installation all over again.
After the "How to Start the Program "section:
IMPORTANT: DO NOT START THIS PROGRAM WITHOUT A COMPUTER! STARTING THIS PROGRAM WITHOUT A COMPUTER COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY! SEE THIS SENTENCE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL FOR FURTHER REFERENCES TO THIS WARNING!
After the credits:
Discredits:* Ted is a big, fat liar. * Don't trust my cousin Cynthia because she steals things. * Other people are bad.
