Set in year 2011, Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Danger puts you in control of a bunch of mercenaries stranded in the Amazon Jungle. Now caught in the middle of civil warfare, their only choice is to fight it out and stay alive as long as possible.

Raven Squad is your standard tactical real time strategy game with a twist. You can control your squad members in first person view as well. The RTS section contains no base building as you'll be given a set number of units for each level to complete. It plays very much like Ground Control and Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps. The first person mode plays pretty much like any first person shooter in the market, giving you the advantage to perform one shot kills (eg. head-shots). The game features single player co-op as well.

Added description to War Front: Turning Point · March 19, 2007

War Front: Turning Point takes place in an alternate universe where Hitler is assassinated during WWII during a phase of Russian expansion. The replacement German leader unites Germany with the Allies in an effort to defeat the Russians. The story is played out in cutscenes with a B-Movie feel in terms of delivery and dialogue.

This is your standard base building and resource collecting RTS like Command & Conquer and Warcraft. Building a plethora of units and ploughing them at the enemy is the main course of gameplay.

The game features most of the standard World War 2 units (Shermans, Me-262s, rocket launchers) and (like Command & Conquer: Generals) hero units with special abilities, such as extra damage or stronger armor). New weapons add a sci-fi element: The Allies have earthquake bombs and shield boosters; the Germans have armored Mechs and ultra-destructive Zeppelins; the Russians have ice bombs (which freezes everything in sight) and underground carriers for a stealth element. You can take control of specific units FPS-style, but be careful not to lose sight of the bigger picture.

The single player mission allows the player to play the Allied or German side. There are primary and secondary objectives; primary usually involves destroying a base, but secondary will often improve your situation in later missions. In multiplayer, the player will be allowed to play Allied, German and Russian.

Added description to SpellForce: The Order of Dawn · January 18, 2004

EO, the world in which the game takes place was torn apart by a ritual called the Convocation. The ritual caused the destruction of the continents and was performed by each of the thirteen most powerful mages (both light and dark) on EO, who collectively were known as The Circle. The Circle ruled EO before its destruction and had slowly expanded their knowledge and power. Their vast knowledge allowed them to extend their lifespan to a point near immortality. Across EO they resurrected rune monuments that could be used to quickly call forth obedient armies to enforce their rule (known as the Rune) and bring peace to all the races of EO. At some point they learned of an ancient text describing a ritual supposedly granting immense power, possible under a certain alignment of planets. Not willing to share this power, wars between the various Circle mages erupted. When the time came each preformed the ritual, but none could tame the elemental forces and the continents shattered. After the event only isolated islands around magical towers remained. The islands were later connected by magical portals that make travel between them possible. At the start of the game the player is resurrected by Rohen, a former mage of The Circle. He is also the one who connected the islands using the portal system in an act to redeem himself and is believed to be the only mage of The Circle to have survived the Convocation. He instructs you to travel to Greyfell, the headquarters of the Order of Dawn. Soon after this you learn that a second Circle mage has survived and embark on a quest to inform Rohen of this fact.

SpellForce is a real-time strategy game with RPG elements, similar to Battle Realms. Unlike that game, SpellForce gives more focus to the hero. In fact, the player can go into third person view (only for the hero) and play it like a hack and slash game. The game features six playable races. The player character is called a rune warrior, an immortal warrior bound to a stone by The Circle to fight their wars. If the avatar dies, he will respawn at the last activated bindstone (stones around the map that can be activated and used for fast travel).

As the game progresses the player will find rune stones of six races (humans, dwarves, elves, orcs, trolls and dark elves) and hero runes. After being inserted into the rune board, they can be trained at their respective monument and help the player in the quest. The player will also find building planes for each of the races. When a monument of a race is switched on worker units can be trained to gather resources and construct buildings. This will eventually allow the player to train fighting units to overcome an enemy base. With the avatar rising in level runes and items of a higher level can be used to kill tougher enemies. The game has a lengthy single player campaign of 20+ maps. It was followed by two expansions called The Breath of Winter and Shadow of the Phoenix.

Fighters can also use the enviroment to their advantages, example fighters can flip off the walls, swing on poles or throw opponents through glass. Each fighter also has powerful CHI attacks which can be devastating on enemies and the surroundings.

Added description to Command & Conquer: Generals · February 9, 2003

A new chapter in the Command & Conquer universe, set somewhere in the 2010s, pits three sides for global domination: the United States of America, the People's Republic of China and the Global Liberation Army (GLA).

Generals features real world (renamed or slightly altered) weapons combined with quasi-high-tech ones, new control schemes and a fast-paced multiplayer. Generals is the first game in the Command & Conquer series not to include FMV or pre-rendered cutscenes between missions, and was also the first C&C game without the Westwood Studios label (although the development studio was initially called Westwood Pacific before being merged into EA Pacific). It uses a full 3D environment powered by the SAGE engine, a modified version of the W3D engine previously seen in C&C: Renegade.

The core gameplay differs somewhat from other games in the series, a move done in order to modernize the formula. First off, construction yards are absent, as structures are built by dozers for the USA and China, and workers for the GLA. The sidebar is replaced with the bottom bar, and support powers are "purchased" with leveling up as a general, which is done through participating in combat. For the first time in the series, each factory-type structure (barracks, war factory, airfield...) has its own build queue, in the same fashion as in Blizzard's RTS titles before it, instead of having a shared one like in the previous C&C games. Upgrades are available for the first time in the series as well, bringing improvements to units and structures. Everything is paid for in advance instead of having credits slowly drain as the object is constructed.

Set in the 1920s, Post Mortem puts the player in the role of MacPherson, a retired private detective, whom is hired by Sophia Blake. His assignment is to find out who killed her sister and brother-in law.

The gameplay is similar to games like AmerZone: The Explorer's Legacy and other first-person adventure games, where the player goes hunting around for clues and interacts with other characters. During cinematics, the game moves the perspective to the third-person and offers different dialogue choices. The storyline is affected according to chosen lines.

But that's just the beginning of their problems, as alien forces start to appear out of nowhere. In desperation, Mars and Earth form the Legions of Iron to fight back.

Haegemonia is a space based 3D RTS, very similar to games like the Imperium Galactica series but without the ground battles. The player will have to colonize nearby planets, research new technologies, build up his/her fleet to battle enemy forces, use spying tech and also manage colonies. Haegemonia emphasizes more on space battle than micromanagement.

Added description to O.R.B.: Off-World Resource Base · November 18, 2002

Long ago a great empire spanned the stars until it collapsed. The worlds of this empire fell into an intergalactic dark age and forgot their past. In the Aldus solar system, spaceflight has been regained. Two different races, the Malus and the Alyssians, both venture out into space for the first time and encounter one another. Due to fragmented legends among both races, they soon grow distrustful of one another and declare war. However the Alyssians and Malus are weak in resources, having been confined to their planets for so long, and so it's important for both sides to establish Offworld Resource Bases.

O.R.B. is a 3D real-time strategy game, similar in gameplay to Homeworld. The player must build up bases and oversee the collection of resources in space. These can then be used to construct new vessels and spaceships as well as research additional abilities. Asteroids and planets can provide a strategic advantage in the positioning of forces. The player can assign movement and combat orders to individual units or as a group.
